Grandma’s Cookies

4 cups flour
2 cups packed brown sugar
1 TSP cinnamon
1/8 cloves
1 TSP baking soda
1 cup (2 squares) butter. (works best with real butter)
3 eggs
1 TSP vanilla
Pinch of salt
2 cups of raisins boiled in 1 cup of water.

Bake for 20 minutes (or less depending on your oven. They should be soft and chewy) on 350oF
Mix the wet ingredients in a a large bowl, without the raisins. Mix the dry ingredients in a separate bowl. Alternate between the raisins (including the water), and the flour in the wet ingredients.

Notes: It would be best if you had a mixer as it becomes difficult to mix with all the ingredients together.

This was my grandma’s recipe, she made these cookies all the time and they were everyone’s favourite cookies. We’d always wolf them down, they never lasted long, ever.
